He/Him
Master of Marriage and Family Therapy, Capella University
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
In so many of my sessions, loneliness sits underneath what initially brings someone to therapy. This feeling of isolation is, ironically, often shared among those looking for help and support in therapy. They feel stuck.
I specialize in working with men, women, and couples in those stuck places. Our sessions offer a non-judgmental space where we can explore themes of meaning, purpose, and joy within depression, anxiety, and the vague but ever-present feeling that “I am not okay.”
One of my core values is authenticity: being real with yourself. Not to judge yourself, not to improve yourself, but to learn to be at peace, which comes through gratitude and joy.
I tell all my clients that the best expert on who they are and what they are feeling is themselves. My job is to sit with you in spaces of dark and light, reflect on what I see, and collaborate with you to uncover what is true and good within you.
Outside of therapy, you will find me fighting for joy, too. Whether that is spending time with my family, pretending to be a wizard with my friends in Dungeons & Dragons, or being silly on stage with an improv group, I am on the same journey we all are, just here trying to make meaning out of a chaotic world.
So, if you are struggling within your relationships, wanting to redefine what masculinity means for you, dealing with spiritual trauma, or simply feeling alone, then stop on by. Together, you can learn to take small risks toward something better.
Taking the first step looks different for everyone. Whether you're ready to start therapy or just want to learn more about Queer Sober Therapy, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out and someone from our team will be in touch soon.
